How to convert Aster to NEAR Protocol

Converting ASTER to NEAR on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit ASTER from BNB Chain
Go to the Deposit tab and select Aster (ASTER) on BNB Chain. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your ASTER there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on BNB Chain, your ASTER balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap ASTER to NEAR on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick ASTER as the source and NEAR as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw NEAR to NEAR
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select NEAR Protocol (NEAR) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose NEAR as the destination. Enter an address from a NEAR wallet such as NEAR Mobile or Meteor and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the ASTERNEAR swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your ASTER leaves BNB Chain and NEAR arrives on NEAR. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is NEAR on NEAR, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Both ASTER and NEAR float against the dollar, so the ASTER/NEAR rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About Aster and NEAR Protocol

What is Aster (ASTER)?

Aster formed from the late-2024 merger of Astherus, a yield platform, and APX Finance, a perpetual DEX, with APX holders able to convert into ASTER. The token went live on BNB Chain in September 2025.

How Aster works

Aster lets traders open leveraged perpetual positions from their own wallets across several chains, with a simple one-click mode and a professional order-book mode that includes features such as hidden orders. It also offers yield-bearing collateral products inherited from Astherus.

What ASTER is used for

ASTER is used for governance, trading incentives and fee-related programs on the exchange, and holders can take part in its reward campaigns. It is also widely traded as a speculative DeFi asset.

ASTER supply

Maximum supply is 8 billion ASTER, with a large share reserved for community and ecosystem incentives released over time.

Before you swap ASTER

ASTER arrives as a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain, so keep some BNB for gas. This is Aster (aster-2 on CoinGecko), unrelated to Astar Network's ASTR or other 'Aster' tickers.

What is NEAR Protocol (NEAR)?

NEAR Protocol is a smart contract platform co-founded by Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov, with its mainnet going live in 2020. The network focuses on usability, offering human-readable account names such as alice.near instead of long hexadecimal addresses. It is also the chain behind NEAR Intents, the cross-chain swap system that NEAR Mobile Swap uses.

How NEAR Protocol works

Validators stake NEAR in a Proof of Stake system to produce blocks and confirm transactions. Nightshade sharding splits the network into parallel shards that process transactions side by side, which lets capacity grow as more shards are added.

What NEAR is used for

NEAR is spent on transaction fees and contract storage, and it is delegated to validators by holders who want staking rewards. Developers also use the chain for decentralized apps, AI agents and chain abstraction tools that operate across several blockchains.

NEAR supply

NEAR started with a genesis supply of one billion tokens and has no hard cap. New tokens are minted each epoch to reward validators, with the maximum annual inflation rate halved from 5% to 2.5% in October 2025, while 70% of transaction fees are burned.

Before you swap NEAR

When withdrawing to NEAR, you can send to a named account (like name.near) or to a 64-character implicit account, so check you have the correct one. Keep a little NEAR in your wallet to cover gas and storage for future transactions.
