How to convert Aster to Tether

Converting ASTER to USDT on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit ASTER from BNB Chain
Go to the Deposit tab and select Aster (ASTER) on BNB Chain. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your ASTER there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on BNB Chain, your ASTER balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap ASTER to USDT on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick ASTER as the source and USDT as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw USDT to Ethereum
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select Tether (USDT) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Ethereum as the destination. Enter an address from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the ASTERUSDT swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your ASTER leaves BNB Chain and USDT arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is USDT on Ethereum, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Swapping ASTER to USDT converts a volatile asset into a dollar-pegged stablecoin — a common way to lock in a price or step out of market swings without off-ramping to a bank account.

About Aster and Tether

What is Aster (ASTER)?

Aster formed from the late-2024 merger of Astherus, a yield platform, and APX Finance, a perpetual DEX, with APX holders able to convert into ASTER. The token went live on BNB Chain in September 2025.

How Aster works

Aster lets traders open leveraged perpetual positions from their own wallets across several chains, with a simple one-click mode and a professional order-book mode that includes features such as hidden orders. It also offers yield-bearing collateral products inherited from Astherus.

What ASTER is used for

ASTER is used for governance, trading incentives and fee-related programs on the exchange, and holders can take part in its reward campaigns. It is also widely traded as a speculative DeFi asset.

ASTER supply

Maximum supply is 8 billion ASTER, with a large share reserved for community and ecosystem incentives released over time.

Before you swap ASTER

ASTER arrives as a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain, so keep some BNB for gas. This is Aster (aster-2 on CoinGecko), unrelated to Astar Network's ASTR or other 'Aster' tickers.

What is Tether (USDT)?

Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin designed to hold a value of one US dollar, issued by the company Tether since 2014. Having started on Bitcoin's Omni Layer, it has since expanded to many blockchains, including Ethereum, TRON, Solana and others.

How Tether works

Tether creates new USDT when verified customers deposit dollars and redeems tokens for dollars when they are returned, so the supply follows demand. The company reports holding reserve assets, mainly US Treasury bills and cash equivalents, to back the tokens in circulation and publishes periodic attestations of those reserves.

What USDT is used for

Traders use USDT to park funds between trades and as a quote currency on exchanges around the world. It is also common for cross-border payments and for saving in dollars in places with volatile local currencies.

USDT supply

There is no fixed supply: tokens are minted when dollars come in and burned when they are redeemed. The goal is for each USDT to be backed by reserves worth at least one dollar.

Before you swap USDT

USDT exists on many networks, and the swap widget defaults to the Ethereum version, so confirm the selected network matches the chain of your wallet before sending or receiving. Sending USDT over the wrong network can make funds difficult or impossible to recover.
