How to convert Dash to Tether

The widget above is already set to DASH on Dash → USDT on Ethereum. The whole swap runs in one flow through NEAR Intents:

Step 1: Choose how to pay
Connect a Dash wallet such as DashPay or Dash Core that holds your DASH. Or turn on Swap from external wallet to get a deposit address and QR code you can pay from any wallet or exchange; you then add an address on Dash for refunds.

Step 2: Enter the amount and where to receive
Type how much DASH to swap and the Ethereum address that receives the USDT, from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby. The widget shows how much USDT you will receive, fees included, before you confirm.

Step 3: Confirm and send
Approve the transfer in your wallet, or send the amount to the deposit address. Once it confirms on Dash, solvers fill the swap and the USDT is sent to your address on Ethereum. If the swap can't be filled, your DASH is refunded.

Prefer to keep a balance inside NEAR Intents? The Deposit tab adds DASH to it, Swap trades within it, and Withdraw sends tokens out to their own networks.

⚠ Important: receive on an address you control. If you send the USDT to an exchange instead, check that it accepts USDT on Ethereum: some exchanges don't credit deposits that come from a smart contract.

About the DASH → USDT swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your DASH leaves Dash and USDT arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is USDT on Ethereum, ready to use there with no second bridging step.

Swapping DASH to USDT converts a volatile asset into a dollar-pegged stablecoin, a common way to lock in a price or step out of market swings without off-ramping to a bank account.

About Dash and Tether

What is Dash (DASH)?

Dash was launched by Evan Duffield on 18 January 2014, first as XCoin and then as Darkcoin, before taking the name Dash, short for digital cash. It aims to be practical money for everyday payments, with features built around speed and optional privacy.

How Dash works

Miners secure Dash with X11 Proof of Work, targeting a block every two and a half minutes. A second tier of masternodes, each backed by 1,000 DASH, signs InstantSend locks that confirm payments within seconds and ChainLocks that protect against chain reorganizations. Evonodes, backed by 4,000 DASH, also run Dash Platform, a separate layer for usernames, data and, since 2025, tokens.

What DASH is used for

DASH is spent at merchants and through gift cards in the DashPay app, and masternode owners vote on which proposals the treasury funds. Optional CoinJoin mixing gives users more financial privacy.

DASH supply

Total supply will end up between 17.74 and 18.92 million DASH, as the block subsidy falls by about 7.14% each year. Twenty percent of every block subsidy goes to the treasury, and the rest is shared between miners and masternodes.

Before you swap DASH

Withdraw to a standard Dash address, which starts with X (or 7 for script addresses), rather than to a DashPay username. Dash blocks target two and a half minutes, so deposits usually confirm faster than on Bitcoin.

What is Tether (USDT)?

Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin designed to hold a value of one US dollar, issued by the company Tether since 2014. Having started on Bitcoin's Omni Layer, it has since expanded to many blockchains, including Ethereum, TRON, Solana and others.

How Tether works

Tether creates new USDT when verified customers deposit dollars and redeems tokens for dollars when they are returned, so the supply follows demand. The company reports holding reserve assets, mainly US Treasury bills and cash equivalents, to back the tokens in circulation and publishes periodic attestations of those reserves.

What USDT is used for

Traders use USDT to park funds between trades and as a quote currency on exchanges around the world. It is also common for cross-border payments and for saving in dollars in places with volatile local currencies.

USDT supply

There is no fixed supply: tokens are minted when dollars come in and burned when they are redeemed. The goal is for each USDT to be backed by reserves worth at least one dollar.

Before you swap USDT

USDT exists on many networks, and the swap widget defaults to the Ethereum version, so confirm the selected network matches the chain of your wallet before sending or receiving. Sending USDT over the wrong network can make funds difficult or impossible to recover.
