How to convert KAITO to NEAR Protocol

Converting KAITO to NEAR on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit KAITO from Base
Go to the Deposit tab and select KAITO (KAITO) on Base. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your KAITO there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on Base, your KAITO balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap KAITO to NEAR on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick KAITO as the source and NEAR as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw NEAR to NEAR
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select NEAR Protocol (NEAR) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose NEAR as the destination. Enter an address from a NEAR wallet such as NEAR Mobile or Meteor and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the KAITONEAR swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your KAITO leaves Base and NEAR arrives on NEAR. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is NEAR on NEAR, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Both KAITO and NEAR float against the dollar, so the KAITO/NEAR rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About KAITO and NEAR Protocol

What is KAITO (KAITO)?

Kaito is a crypto information platform founded by Yu Hu that uses AI to index and search research, social media and governance discussions. Its KAITO token launched on Base in February 2025, alongside an airdrop to users of its Yaps attention leaderboard.

How KAITO works

Kaito Pro offers AI-powered search and dashboards for professionals, while Kaito Yaps scores posts on X to measure 'mindshare' and share of attention around projects. The token connects these products, letting holders stake and direct incentives toward creators and projects.

What KAITO is used for

Holders stake KAITO to earn sKAITO, participate in governance and receive access to reward programs and launchpad-style campaigns. Projects and users also use it to take part in attention-based marketing on the platform.

KAITO supply

The total supply is fixed at 1 billion KAITO, released according to a vesting schedule for the team, investors, ecosystem and community.

Before you swap KAITO

KAITO is delivered on Base, so you will need a small amount of ETH on Base for gas afterwards. Check that your wallet displays the Base contract rather than a copycat token.

What is NEAR Protocol (NEAR)?

NEAR Protocol is a smart contract platform co-founded by Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov, with its mainnet going live in 2020. The network focuses on usability, offering human-readable account names such as alice.near instead of long hexadecimal addresses. It is also the chain behind NEAR Intents, the cross-chain swap system that NEAR Mobile Swap uses.

How NEAR Protocol works

Validators stake NEAR in a Proof of Stake system to produce blocks and confirm transactions. Nightshade sharding splits the network into parallel shards that process transactions side by side, which lets capacity grow as more shards are added.

What NEAR is used for

NEAR is spent on transaction fees and contract storage, and it is delegated to validators by holders who want staking rewards. Developers also use the chain for decentralized apps, AI agents and chain abstraction tools that operate across several blockchains.

NEAR supply

NEAR started with a genesis supply of one billion tokens and has no hard cap. New tokens are minted each epoch to reward validators, with the maximum annual inflation rate halved from 5% to 2.5% in October 2025, while 70% of transaction fees are burned.

Before you swap NEAR

When withdrawing to NEAR, you can send to a named account (like name.near) or to a 64-character implicit account, so check you have the correct one. Keep a little NEAR in your wallet to cover gas and storage for future transactions.
