How to convert Monad to Ethereum

The widget above is already set to MON on Monad → ETH on Ethereum. The whole swap runs in one flow through NEAR Intents:

Step 1: Choose how to pay
Connect any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby that holds your MON. Or turn on Swap from external wallet to get a deposit address and QR code you can pay from any wallet or exchange; you then add an address on Monad for refunds.

Step 2: Enter the amount and where to receive
Type how much MON to swap and the Ethereum address that receives the ETH, from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby. The widget shows how much ETH you will receive, fees included, before you confirm.

Step 3: Confirm and send
Approve the transfer in your wallet, or send the amount to the deposit address. Once it confirms on Monad, solvers fill the swap and the ETH is sent to your address on Ethereum. If the swap can't be filled, your MON is refunded.

Prefer to keep a balance inside NEAR Intents? The Deposit tab adds MON to it, Swap trades within it, and Withdraw sends tokens out to their own networks.

⚠ Important: receive on an address you control. If you send the ETH to an exchange instead, check that it accepts ETH on Ethereum: some exchanges don't credit deposits that come from a smart contract.

About the MON → ETH swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your MON leaves Monad and ETH arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is ETH on Ethereum, ready to use there with no second bridging step.

Both MON and ETH float against the dollar, so the MON/ETH rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About Monad and Ethereum

What is Monad (MON)?

Monad is a layer-1 blockchain that runs Ethereum smart contracts at much higher throughput, and MON is its native token. The network and the token launched together on 24 November 2025. Core development is led by Category Labs, the company formerly called Monad Labs, while the Monad Foundation supports the ecosystem.

How Monad works

Validators stake MON and agree on blocks with MonadBFT, a Byzantine fault tolerant consensus protocol. Execution runs asynchronously behind consensus and processes transactions in parallel while keeping their order in the block, so the chain produces blocks and reaches finality in under a second while remaining compatible with Ethereum wallets and tools.

What MON is used for

MON pays for gas on every Monad transaction and can be delegated to validators to earn a share of block rewards. It is also the main base asset for trading and DeFi apps on the network.

MON supply

The initial supply at mainnet launch was 100 billion MON. New MON is minted with every block as a staking reward, adding roughly 2% of the initial supply per year, while the base fee of each transaction is burned.

Before you swap MON

MON arrives at a standard 0x address on Monad mainnet (chain ID 143), so make sure your wallet has that network added. Monad also keeps a 10 MON reserve rule: a transfer that would leave less than that can fail if the same wallet sent another transaction a few blocks earlier, so space out back-to-back transactions when emptying a wallet.

What is Ethereum (ETH)?

Ether (ETH) powers Ethereum, a programmable blockchain proposed by Vitalik Buterin in 2013 and launched in July 2015 by a group of co-founders. Rather than acting only as money, Ethereum runs smart contracts, which let developers deploy applications that execute exactly as written.

How Ethereum works

Since the Merge in September 2022, Ethereum has been secured by Proof of Stake: validators lock up ETH, propose and attest to blocks, and can lose part of their stake for misbehaviour. Every operation on the network costs gas, paid in ETH: the base fee is burned, while validators receive a priority fee for including transactions.

What ETH is used for

ETH pays for transaction fees and is widely used as collateral in decentralized finance, from lending protocols to decentralized exchanges. Holders also stake it to help secure the network and earn protocol rewards.

ETH supply

Ether has no fixed maximum supply. New ETH is issued to validators, while the base fee of every transaction is burned under EIP-1559, so net supply can rise or fall depending on network activity.

Before you swap ETH

Make sure your withdrawal goes to an address on Ethereum mainnet and not to a layer-2 or another EVM network that uses the same address format. Gas prices on Ethereum fluctuate with demand, which can affect the cost of moving ETH in or out.

What to know before swapping Monad for Ethereum

Use the widget on this page, already set to MON on Monad → ETH on Ethereum: connect your wallet or pay by QR code, enter the amount and your Ethereum address, and confirm. NEAR Intents swaps it and sends the ETH to that address in one flow, and the widget shows the exact amount you will receive before you confirm.
