How to convert NEAR Protocol to ConsumerFi Protocol

Converting NEAR to CFI on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit NEAR from NEAR
Go to the Deposit tab and select NEAR Protocol (NEAR) on NEAR. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your NEAR there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on NEAR, your NEAR balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap NEAR to CFI on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick NEAR as the source and CFI as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw CFI to Base
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select ConsumerFi Protocol (CFI) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Base as the destination. Enter an address from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the NEARCFI swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your NEAR leaves NEAR and CFI arrives on Base. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is CFI on Base, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Both NEAR and CFI float against the dollar, so the NEAR/CFI rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About NEAR Protocol and ConsumerFi Protocol

What is NEAR Protocol (NEAR)?

NEAR Protocol is a smart contract platform co-founded by Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov, with its mainnet going live in 2020. The network focuses on usability, offering human-readable account names such as alice.near instead of long hexadecimal addresses. It is also the chain behind NEAR Intents, the cross-chain swap system that NEAR Mobile Swap uses.

How NEAR Protocol works

Validators stake NEAR in a Proof of Stake system to produce blocks and confirm transactions. Nightshade sharding splits the network into parallel shards that process transactions side by side, which lets capacity grow as more shards are added.

What NEAR is used for

NEAR is spent on transaction fees and contract storage, and it is delegated to validators by holders who want staking rewards. Developers also use the chain for decentralized apps, AI agents and chain abstraction tools that operate across several blockchains.

NEAR supply

NEAR started with a genesis supply of one billion tokens and has no hard cap. New tokens are minted each epoch to reward validators, with the maximum annual inflation rate halved from 5% to 2.5% in October 2025, while 70% of transaction fees are burned.

Before you swap NEAR

When withdrawing to NEAR, you can send to a named account (like name.near) or to a 64-character implicit account, so check you have the correct one. Keep a little NEAR in your wallet to cover gas and storage for future transactions.

What is ConsumerFi Protocol (CFI)?

ConsumerFi Protocol connects a group of consumer apps, led by the Kinsu DeFi app and PlayEmber's Bitcoin games, through one token and a shared user-data layer. CFI launched as a Base token in 2025, with a NEAR version following in November 2025 alongside a multichain public sale on Calyx.

How ConsumerFi Protocol works

The protocol builds an encrypted 'ConsumerGraph' of each user's app activity. NEAR AI processes this privately to produce personalized financial insights, and users control whether the data is shared. CFI connects the apps, and staking CFI gives higher rates on USDC deposits in Kinsu.

What CFI is used for

Users stake CFI for boosted Kinsu yields and earn it through activity in the connected apps. It also trades on Base and NEAR.

CFI supply

Total supply is 1 billion CFI, of which 25 million (2.5%) were offered in the 2025 public sale.

Before you swap CFI

Base is the default network here and a NEAR version is also listed. After a Base withdrawal you need a little ETH on Base for gas. Liquidity is modest, so check price impact.
