How to convert NEAR Protocol to Falcon USD

Converting NEAR to USDf on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit NEAR from NEAR
Go to the Deposit tab and select NEAR Protocol (NEAR) on NEAR. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your NEAR there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on NEAR, your NEAR balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap NEAR to USDf on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick NEAR as the source and USDf as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw USDf to Ethereum
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select Falcon USD (USDf) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Ethereum as the destination. Enter an address from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the NEARUSDf swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your NEAR leaves NEAR and USDf arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is USDf on Ethereum, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Swapping NEAR to USDf converts a volatile asset into a dollar-pegged stablecoin — a common way to lock in a price or step out of market swings without off-ramping to a bank account.

About NEAR Protocol and Falcon USD

What is NEAR Protocol (NEAR)?

NEAR Protocol is a smart contract platform co-founded by Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov, with its mainnet going live in 2020. The network focuses on usability, offering human-readable account names such as alice.near instead of long hexadecimal addresses. It is also the chain behind NEAR Intents, the cross-chain swap system that NEAR Mobile Swap uses.

How NEAR Protocol works

Validators stake NEAR in a Proof of Stake system to produce blocks and confirm transactions. Nightshade sharding splits the network into parallel shards that process transactions side by side, which lets capacity grow as more shards are added.

What NEAR is used for

NEAR is spent on transaction fees and contract storage, and it is delegated to validators by holders who want staking rewards. Developers also use the chain for decentralized apps, AI agents and chain abstraction tools that operate across several blockchains.

NEAR supply

NEAR started with a genesis supply of one billion tokens and has no hard cap. New tokens are minted each epoch to reward validators, with the maximum annual inflation rate halved from 5% to 2.5% in October 2025, while 70% of transaction fees are burned.

Before you swap NEAR

When withdrawing to NEAR, you can send to a named account (like name.near) or to a 64-character implicit account, so check you have the correct one. Keep a little NEAR in your wallet to cover gas and storage for future transactions.

What is Falcon USD (USDf)?

USDf is the synthetic dollar of Falcon Finance, a collateral protocol incubated with backing from DWF Labs. After a closed beta in early 2025, the protocol opened to the public on 30 April 2025, and USDf now circulates on Ethereum, BNB Chain and other networks.

How Falcon USD works

Users deposit approved collateral to mint USDf: stablecoins mint at roughly one-to-one, while volatile assets such as BTC or ETH require overcollateralization. Staking USDf produces sUSDf, a yield-bearing token whose value grows from market-neutral strategies like funding-rate and basis trades, and reserves are held with custodians and reported on a transparency page.

What USDf is used for

Holders use USDf as dollar liquidity unlocked from assets they do not want to sell, and stake it as sUSDf for yield. It is also paired in DeFi pools and lending markets.

USDf supply

USDf has no fixed cap; tokens are created when collateral is deposited and burned when it is redeemed. It is distinct from FF, Falcon Finance's separate governance token.

Before you swap USDf

USDf is delivered here as an ERC-20 on Ethereum, so plan for ETH gas. Being a synthetic, crypto-collateralized dollar rather than a fiat-backed coin, it can drift slightly from $1 in stressed markets.
