How to convert Venice Token to NEAR Protocol

The widget above is already set to VVV on Base → NEAR on NEAR. The whole swap runs in one flow through NEAR Intents:

Step 1: Choose how to pay
Connect any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet that holds your VVV. Or turn on Swap from external wallet to get a deposit address and QR code you can pay from any wallet or exchange; you then add an address on Base for refunds.

Step 2: Enter the amount and where to receive
Type how much VVV to swap and the NEAR address that receives the NEAR, from a NEAR wallet such as NEAR Mobile or Meteor. The widget shows how much NEAR you will receive, fees included, before you confirm.

Step 3: Confirm and send
Approve the transfer in your wallet, or send the amount to the deposit address. Once it confirms on Base, solvers fill the swap and the NEAR is sent to your address on NEAR. If the swap can't be filled, your VVV is refunded.

Prefer to keep a balance inside NEAR Intents? The Deposit tab adds VVV to it, Swap trades within it, and Withdraw sends tokens out to their own networks.

⚠ Important: receive on an address you control. If you send the NEAR to an exchange instead, check that it accepts NEAR on NEAR: some exchanges don't credit deposits that come from a smart contract.

About the VVV → NEAR swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your VVV leaves Base and NEAR arrives on NEAR. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is NEAR on NEAR, ready to use there with no second bridging step.

Both VVV and NEAR float against the dollar, so the VVV/NEAR rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About Venice Token and NEAR Protocol

What is Venice Token (VVV)?

Venice is an AI platform built around privacy that gives access to open-source and leading language models for chat, image and code generation, in its app and through an API. VVV launched on Base on 27 January 2025 with an airdrop to Venice users and AI projects on Base.

How Venice Token works

Holders stake VVV in Venice's staking contract and receive sVVV one for one, and staked VVV earns all new emissions. Locking sVVV lets a holder mint DIEM, where each DIEM gives $1 per day of Venice API credit; the sVVV stays locked until that DIEM is burned, and unstaking has a seven-day cooldown.

What VVV is used for

Developers and AI agents stake VVV to fund ongoing API access instead of buying prepaid credits. Venice also spends part of its revenue buying VVV on the market and burning it.

VVV supply

Genesis supply was 100 million VVV: 50% airdropped to users and Base AI projects, 35% to Venice, 10% to an incentive fund and 5% to liquidity. Issuance started at 14 million VVV a year and has been cut several times, to 2 million a year from 1 October 2026, while burns remove tokens.

Before you swap VVV

This is the Base ERC-20, so keep a little ETH on Base for gas after withdrawing. You receive liquid VVV; staking and minting DIEM happen separately on Venice.

What is NEAR Protocol (NEAR)?

NEAR Protocol is a smart contract platform co-founded by Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov, with its mainnet going live in 2020. The network focuses on usability, offering human-readable account names such as alice.near instead of long hexadecimal addresses. It is also the chain behind NEAR Intents, the cross-chain swap system that NEAR Mobile Swap uses.

How NEAR Protocol works

Validators stake NEAR in a Proof of Stake system to produce blocks and confirm transactions. Nightshade sharding splits the network into parallel shards that process transactions side by side, which lets capacity grow as more shards are added.

What NEAR is used for

NEAR is spent on transaction fees and contract storage, and it is delegated to validators by holders who want staking rewards. Developers also use the chain for decentralized apps, AI agents and chain abstraction tools that operate across several blockchains.

NEAR supply

NEAR started with a genesis supply of one billion tokens and has no hard cap. New tokens are minted each epoch to reward validators, with the maximum annual inflation rate halved from 5% to 2.5% in October 2025, while at least 70% of every transaction fee is burned.

Before you swap NEAR

When withdrawing to NEAR, you can send to a named account (like name.near) or to a 64-character implicit account, so check you have the correct one. Keep a little NEAR in your wallet to cover gas and storage for future transactions.

What to know before swapping Venice Token for NEAR Protocol

Use the widget on this page, already set to VVV on Base → NEAR on NEAR: connect your wallet or pay by QR code, enter the amount and your NEAR address, and confirm. NEAR Intents swaps it and sends the NEAR to that address in one flow, and the widget shows the exact amount you will receive before you confirm.
