How Monerium EUR emoney works
Monerium mints EURe when euros arrive in a customer's IBAN-linked account and burns it when tokens are redeemed back to a bank via SEPA. Each token is a regulated e-money claim fully backed by euro reserves held in segregated accounts, and a 2024 contract upgrade (V2) introduced the address used on this listing.
What EURe is used for
People use EURe to move between bank euros and on-chain euros, to pay with Gnosis Pay cards, and to settle payments without converting to dollars. In DeFi it serves as a euro leg in lending pools and FX-style swaps.
EURe supply
There is no fixed cap; supply equals the euros deposited with Monerium and changes with minting and redemptions. Reserves are held in full for every token outstanding.
