How to convert KAITO to Bitcoin

Converting KAITO to BTC on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit KAITO from Base
Go to the Deposit tab and select KAITO (KAITO) on Base. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your KAITO there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on Base, your KAITO balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap KAITO to BTC on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick KAITO as the source and BTC as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw BTC to Bitcoin
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select Bitcoin (BTC) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Bitcoin as the destination. Enter an address from any Bitcoin wallet and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the KAITOBTC swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your KAITO leaves Base and BTC arrives on Bitcoin. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is BTC on Bitcoin, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Both KAITO and BTC float against the dollar, so the KAITO/BTC rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

How KAITO works

Kaito Pro offers AI-powered search and dashboards for professionals, while Kaito Yaps scores posts on X to measure 'mindshare' and share of attention around projects. The token connects these products, letting holders stake and direct incentives toward creators and projects.

What KAITO is used for

Holders stake KAITO to earn sKAITO, participate in governance and receive access to reward programs and launchpad-style campaigns. Projects and users also use it to take part in attention-based marketing on the platform.

KAITO supply

The total supply is fixed at 1 billion KAITO, released according to a vesting schedule for the team, investors, ecosystem and community.

Before you swap KAITO

KAITO is delivered on Base, so you will need a small amount of ETH on Base for gas afterwards. Check that your wallet displays the Base contract rather than a copycat token.

What is Bitcoin (BTC)?

Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency, described in a 2008 white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and brought to life when its network went live in January 2009. BTC is the native unit of that network and moves directly between users without a bank or payment processor in the middle.

How Bitcoin works

Miners compete to add blocks by running SHA-256 hashing hardware in a Proof of Work process, and the chain with the most accumulated work is treated as valid. Every full node independently checks each transaction against the rules, so the ledger's history becomes harder to alter with every block stacked on top.

What BTC is used for

Most holders treat BTC as a long-term store of value and a hedge outside the traditional financial system. It is also used for cross-border transfers, as collateral in lending markets, and as a base trading pair across the crypto industry.

BTC supply

The protocol limits total issuance to 21 million BTC. New coins enter circulation only as block rewards, and that reward is cut in half roughly every four years in an event known as the halving.

Before you swap BTC

Bitcoin blocks arrive about every ten minutes on average, so a BTC deposit can take noticeably longer to confirm than deposits on faster chains. Double-check the receiving address format before withdrawing, since Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed.
