How to convert NEAR Protocol to Intellex

Converting NEAR to ITLX on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit NEAR from NEAR
Go to the Deposit tab and select NEAR Protocol (NEAR) on NEAR. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your NEAR there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on NEAR, your NEAR balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

How NEAR Protocol works

Validators stake NEAR in a Proof of Stake system to produce blocks and confirm transactions. Nightshade sharding splits the network into parallel shards that process transactions side by side, which lets capacity grow as more shards are added.

What NEAR is used for

NEAR is spent on transaction fees and contract storage, and it is delegated to validators by holders who want staking rewards. Developers also use the chain for decentralized apps, AI agents and chain abstraction tools that operate across several blockchains.

NEAR supply

NEAR started with a genesis supply of one billion tokens and has no hard cap. New tokens are minted each epoch to reward validators, with the maximum annual inflation rate halved from 5% to 2.5% in October 2025, while 70% of transaction fees are burned.

How Intellex works

The protocol breaks agent memory into five stages: create, license, use, update and revoke. Owners can license memory models without exposing the underlying data. Usage is metered, and each use pays small royalties in ITLX to the people who contributed the data.

What ITLX is used for

ITLX pays for licenses to access memory assets and settles royalties to data contributors. Holders can also lock it for voting power on protocol parameters and emissions.

The NEAR contract has a maximum of 1 billion ITLX, and allocations vest according to Intellex's published tokenomics.
