How to convert TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler to NEAR Protocol

The widget above is already set to TLO on Ethereum → NEAR on NEAR. The whole swap runs in one flow through NEAR Intents:

Step 1: Choose how to pay
Connect any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby that holds your TLO. Or turn on Swap from external wallet to get a deposit address and QR code you can pay from any wallet or exchange; you then add an address on Ethereum for refunds.

Step 2: Enter the amount and where to receive
Type how much TLO to swap and the NEAR address that receives the NEAR, from a NEAR wallet such as NEAR Mobile or Meteor. The widget shows how much NEAR you will receive, fees included, before you confirm.

Step 3: Confirm and send
Approve the transfer in your wallet, or send the amount to the deposit address. Once it confirms on Ethereum, solvers fill the swap and the NEAR is sent to your address on NEAR. If the swap can't be filled, your TLO is refunded.

Prefer to keep a balance inside NEAR Intents? The Deposit tab adds TLO to it, Swap trades within it, and Withdraw sends tokens out to their own networks.

⚠ Important: receive on an address you control. If you send the NEAR to an exchange instead, check that it accepts NEAR on NEAR: some exchanges don't credit deposits that come from a smart contract.

About the TLO → NEAR swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your TLO leaves Ethereum and NEAR arrives on NEAR. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is NEAR on NEAR, ready to use there with no second bridging step.

Both TLO and NEAR float against the dollar, so the TLO/NEAR rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler and NEAR Protocol

What is TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler (TLO)?

TLO is the share token of the TAU Lending Optimizer, a vault built on Taler, a protocol that provides infrastructure for curated on-chain yield. The vault was deployed on Ethereum in May 2026 and accepts USDC. Taler states that its contracts were audited by Quantstamp between March and April 2026.

How TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler works

Depositing USDC mints TLO and redeeming burns it. A curator decides where the money goes, and Taler's valuation adapters cover lending positions on Aave V3 and Morpho Blue. Strategy actions pass through permission checks, NAV checks and circuit breakers. Redemptions are asynchronous: a request joins an epoch, the executor settles it, and the USDC is then claimed.

What TLO is used for

Holders use TLO to earn lending yield on dollars while keeping a transferable token. Through NEAR Intents it can also be swapped for other assets without waiting in the vault redemption queue.

TLO supply

There is no fixed supply. TLO is minted on deposit and burned on redemption, and vault fees are paid by minting new shares to fee recipients. The token uses 8 decimals.

Before you swap TLO

TLO is a yield-bearing vault share, not a stablecoin, so its price moves with the vault net asset value instead of holding exactly one dollar. Liquidity is limited, so check the quote before confirming.

What is NEAR Protocol (NEAR)?

NEAR Protocol is a smart contract platform co-founded by Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov, with its mainnet going live in 2020. The network focuses on usability, offering human-readable account names such as alice.near instead of long hexadecimal addresses. It is also the chain behind NEAR Intents, the cross-chain swap system that NEAR Mobile Swap uses.

How NEAR Protocol works

Validators stake NEAR in a Proof of Stake system to produce blocks and confirm transactions. Nightshade sharding splits the network into parallel shards that process transactions side by side, which lets capacity grow as more shards are added.

What NEAR is used for

NEAR is spent on transaction fees and contract storage, and it is delegated to validators by holders who want staking rewards. Developers also use the chain for decentralized apps, AI agents and chain abstraction tools that operate across several blockchains.

NEAR supply

NEAR started with a genesis supply of one billion tokens and has no hard cap. New tokens are minted each epoch to reward validators, with the maximum annual inflation rate halved from 5% to 2.5% in October 2025, while at least 70% of every transaction fee is burned.

Before you swap NEAR

When withdrawing to NEAR, you can send to a named account (like name.near) or to a 64-character implicit account, so check you have the correct one. Keep a little NEAR in your wallet to cover gas and storage for future transactions.

What to know before swapping TAU Lending Optimizer on Taler for NEAR Protocol

Use the widget on this page, already set to TLO on Ethereum → NEAR on NEAR: connect your wallet or pay by QR code, enter the amount and your NEAR address, and confirm. NEAR Intents swaps it and sends the NEAR to that address in one flow, and the widget shows the exact amount you will receive before you confirm.
