How to convert Bitcoin to Falcon USD

Converting BTC to USDf on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit BTC from Bitcoin
Go to the Deposit tab and select Bitcoin (BTC) on Bitcoin. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your BTC there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on Bitcoin, your BTC balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap BTC to USDf on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick BTC as the source and USDf as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw USDf to Ethereum
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select Falcon USD (USDf) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Ethereum as the destination. Enter an address from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the BTCUSDf swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your BTC leaves Bitcoin and USDf arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is USDf on Ethereum, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Swapping BTC to USDf converts a volatile asset into a dollar-pegged stablecoin — a common way to lock in a price or step out of market swings without off-ramping to a bank account.

About Bitcoin and Falcon USD

What is Bitcoin (BTC)?

Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency, described in a 2008 white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and brought to life when its network went live in January 2009. BTC is the native unit of that network and moves directly between users without a bank or payment processor in the middle.

How Bitcoin works

Miners compete to add blocks by running SHA-256 hashing hardware in a Proof of Work process, and the chain with the most accumulated work is treated as valid. Every full node independently checks each transaction against the rules, so the ledger's history becomes harder to alter with every block stacked on top.

What BTC is used for

Most holders treat BTC as a long-term store of value and a hedge outside the traditional financial system. It is also used for cross-border transfers, as collateral in lending markets, and as a base trading pair across the crypto industry.

BTC supply

The protocol limits total issuance to 21 million BTC. New coins enter circulation only as block rewards, and that reward is cut in half roughly every four years in an event known as the halving.

Before you swap BTC

Bitcoin blocks arrive about every ten minutes on average, so a BTC deposit can take noticeably longer to confirm than deposits on faster chains. Double-check the receiving address format before withdrawing, since Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed.

What is Falcon USD (USDf)?

USDf is the synthetic dollar of Falcon Finance, a collateral protocol incubated with backing from DWF Labs. After a closed beta in early 2025, the protocol opened to the public on 30 April 2025, and USDf now circulates on Ethereum, BNB Chain and other networks.

How Falcon USD works

Users deposit approved collateral to mint USDf: stablecoins mint at roughly one-to-one, while volatile assets such as BTC or ETH require overcollateralization. Staking USDf produces sUSDf, a yield-bearing token whose value grows from market-neutral strategies like funding-rate and basis trades, and reserves are held with custodians and reported on a transparency page.

What USDf is used for

Holders use USDf as dollar liquidity unlocked from assets they do not want to sell, and stake it as sUSDf for yield. It is also paired in DeFi pools and lending markets.

USDf supply

USDf has no fixed cap; tokens are created when collateral is deposited and burned when it is redeemed. It is distinct from FF, Falcon Finance's separate governance token.

Before you swap USDf

USDf is delivered here as an ERC-20 on Ethereum, so plan for ETH gas. Being a synthetic, crypto-collateralized dollar rather than a fiat-backed coin, it can drift slightly from $1 in stressed markets.
