How to convert Starknet to USD Coin

The widget above is already set to STRK on Starknet → USDC on Ethereum. The whole swap runs in one flow through NEAR Intents:

Step 1: Choose how to pay
Connect a Starknet wallet such as Braavos or Xverse that holds your STRK. Or turn on Swap from external wallet to get a deposit address and QR code you can pay from any wallet or exchange; you then add an address on Starknet for refunds.

Step 2: Enter the amount and where to receive
Type how much STRK to swap and the Ethereum address that receives the USDC, from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby. The widget shows how much USDC you will receive, fees included, before you confirm.

Step 3: Confirm and send
Approve the transfer in your wallet, or send the amount to the deposit address. Once it confirms on Starknet, solvers fill the swap and the USDC is sent to your address on Ethereum. If the swap can't be filled, your STRK is refunded.

Prefer to keep a balance inside NEAR Intents? The Deposit tab adds STRK to it, Swap trades within it, and Withdraw sends tokens out to their own networks.

⚠ Important: receive on an address you control. If you send the USDC to an exchange instead, check that it accepts USDC on Ethereum: some exchanges don't credit deposits that come from a smart contract.

About the STRK → USDC swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your STRK leaves Starknet and USDC arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is USDC on Ethereum, ready to use there with no second bridging step.

Swapping STRK to USDC converts a volatile asset into a dollar-pegged stablecoin, a common way to lock in a price or step out of market swings without off-ramping to a bank account.

About Starknet and USD Coin

What is Starknet (STRK)?

Starknet is an Ethereum layer-2 network developed by StarkWare, whose alpha went live on Ethereum mainnet in November 2021. STRK is its native token: ten billion were minted on-chain on 30 November 2022, and they pay for fees, secure the network through staking and carry votes on protocol upgrades.

How Starknet works

Starknet is a validity rollup: it batches transactions and proves them with STARK proofs that are verified on Ethereum. Contracts are written in Cairo, and every account is a smart contract. Since the v0.14.0 upgrade in September 2025, several sequencers produce blocks using a consensus protocol, and STRK and BTC stakers attest to blocks as part of a phased move to staking-based consensus.

What STRK is used for

Since v0.14.0, STRK is the only token accepted for Starknet transaction fees. Holders also stake it or delegate it to validators for rewards, and vote directly or through delegates on protocol upgrades.

STRK supply

Ten billion STRK form the initial supply, with investor and early contributor tokens unlocking monthly until March 2027. There is no hard cap: the protocol mints new STRK as staking rewards under a schedule agreed with the community.

Before you swap STRK

Starknet addresses also start with 0x but are longer account addresses, so copy the one from your Starknet wallet; an Ethereum address will not reach it. A new account can receive STRK before it is deployed and gets deployed with its first outgoing transaction, which needs STRK for the fee. STRK also exists on Ethereum and Solana, but here it moves on Starknet.

What is USD Coin (USDC)?

USDC is a US dollar stablecoin issued by Circle, first launched in September 2018 through the Centre consortium that Circle founded with Coinbase. Circle now manages the token directly, and USDC is issued natively on a range of blockchains, with Ethereum among the largest.

How USD Coin works

Each USDC is meant to be redeemable for one dollar, and Circle mints or burns tokens as institutional customers deposit or withdraw funds. Reserves are held in cash and short-dated US government obligations, largely through a dedicated fund, and Circle publishes regular reports on their composition.

What USDC is used for

USDC is widely used for settlement and payments, both in crypto markets and in business transfers that benefit from moving dollars at any hour. In decentralized finance it serves as a common unit for lending, liquidity pools and trading.

USDC supply

Supply is elastic: USDC is created when dollars are deposited and destroyed when it is redeemed. Circle aims to keep reserves equal to or greater than the amount of USDC in circulation.

Before you swap USDC

The widget defaults to USDC on Ethereum, but the same token also lives on Solana, NEAR, Base and other chains, so select the network your wallet actually uses. Beware of bridged versions with similar names, which are not the same as natively issued USDC.

What to know before swapping Starknet for USD Coin

Use the widget on this page, already set to STRK on Starknet → USDC on Ethereum: connect your wallet or pay by QR code, enter the amount and your Ethereum address, and confirm. NEAR Intents swaps it and sends the USDC to that address in one flow, and the widget shows the exact amount you will receive before you confirm.
