How to convert World Liberty Financial USD to NEAR Protocol

Converting USD1 to NEAR on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit USD1 from Ethereum
Go to the Deposit tab and select World Liberty Financial USD (USD1) on Ethereum. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your USD1 there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on Ethereum, your USD1 balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap USD1 to NEAR on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick USD1 as the source and NEAR as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw NEAR to NEAR
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select NEAR Protocol (NEAR) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose NEAR as the destination. Enter an address from a NEAR wallet such as NEAR Mobile or Meteor and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the USD1NEAR swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your USD1 leaves Ethereum and NEAR arrives on NEAR. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is NEAR on NEAR, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Swapping USD1 to NEAR is how you buy NEAR Protocol with US dollars you already hold on-chain: you pay in a stablecoin and receive NEAR directly on NEAR.

About World Liberty Financial USD and NEAR Protocol

What is World Liberty Financial USD (USD1)?

USD1 is a fiat-backed dollar stablecoin from World Liberty Financial, launched in March 2025. It first appeared on Ethereum and BNB Chain and has since expanded to Solana, Tron and several other networks.

How World Liberty Financial USD works

Each USD1 is backed by reserves of US dollars, short-dated US Treasury bills and government money market fund holdings, custodied by BitGo Trust Company. Eligible institutions mint and redeem at one dollar per token, and the issuer publishes monthly third-party attestations of the reserves.

What USD1 is used for

Traders use USD1 as a dollar base pair on exchanges and DEXs, and institutions have used it to settle large transactions. It is also integrated into DeFi lending and liquidity pools on several chains.

USD1 supply

Supply has no fixed ceiling and expands or contracts as tokens are minted and redeemed against reserves on a 1:1 basis.

Before you swap USD1

USD1 is available here on both Ethereum and Solana; pick the network you will use afterwards and keep ETH or SOL for gas. It targets the US dollar, so swaps from other dollar stablecoins should price close to parity.

What is NEAR Protocol (NEAR)?

NEAR Protocol is a smart contract platform co-founded by Illia Polosukhin and Alexander Skidanov, with its mainnet going live in 2020. The network focuses on usability, offering human-readable account names such as alice.near instead of long hexadecimal addresses. It is also the chain behind NEAR Intents, the cross-chain swap system that NEAR Mobile Swap uses.

How NEAR Protocol works

Validators stake NEAR in a Proof of Stake system to produce blocks and confirm transactions. Nightshade sharding splits the network into parallel shards that process transactions side by side, which lets capacity grow as more shards are added.

What NEAR is used for

NEAR is spent on transaction fees and contract storage, and it is delegated to validators by holders who want staking rewards. Developers also use the chain for decentralized apps, AI agents and chain abstraction tools that operate across several blockchains.

NEAR supply

NEAR started with a genesis supply of one billion tokens and has no hard cap. New tokens are minted each epoch to reward validators, with the maximum annual inflation rate halved from 5% to 2.5% in October 2025, while 70% of transaction fees are burned.

Before you swap NEAR

When withdrawing to NEAR, you can send to a named account (like name.near) or to a 64-character implicit account, so check you have the correct one. Keep a little NEAR in your wallet to cover gas and storage for future transactions.
