How World Liberty Financial USD works
Each USD1 is backed by reserves of US dollars, short-dated US Treasury bills and government money market fund holdings, custodied by BitGo Trust Company. Eligible institutions mint and redeem at one dollar per token, and the issuer publishes monthly third-party attestations of the reserves.
What USD1 is used for
Traders use USD1 as a dollar base pair on exchanges and DEXs, and institutions have used it to settle large transactions. It is also integrated into DeFi lending and liquidity pools on several chains.

Supply has no fixed ceiling and expands or contracts as tokens are minted and redeemed against reserves on a 1:1 basis.
