How to convert Bitcoin to ADI

Converting BTC to ADI on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit BTC from Bitcoin
Go to the Deposit tab and select Bitcoin (BTC) on Bitcoin. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your BTC there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on Bitcoin, your BTC balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap BTC to ADI on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick BTC as the source and ADI as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw ADI to Ethereum
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select ADI (ADI) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Ethereum as the destination. Enter an address from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the BTCADI swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your BTC leaves Bitcoin and ADI arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is ADI on Ethereum, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Both BTC and ADI float against the dollar, so the BTC/ADI rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About Bitcoin and ADI

What is Bitcoin (BTC)?

Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency, described in a 2008 white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and brought to life when its network went live in January 2009. BTC is the native unit of that network and moves directly between users without a bank or payment processor in the middle.

How Bitcoin works

Miners compete to add blocks by running SHA-256 hashing hardware in a Proof of Work process, and the chain with the most accumulated work is treated as valid. Every full node independently checks each transaction against the rules, so the ledger's history becomes harder to alter with every block stacked on top.

What BTC is used for

Most holders treat BTC as a long-term store of value and a hedge outside the traditional financial system. It is also used for cross-border transfers, as collateral in lending markets, and as a base trading pair across the crypto industry.

BTC supply

The protocol limits total issuance to 21 million BTC. New coins enter circulation only as block rewards, and that reward is cut in half roughly every four years in an event known as the halving.

Before you swap BTC

Bitcoin blocks arrive about every ten minutes on average, so a BTC deposit can take noticeably longer to confirm than deposits on faster chains. Double-check the receiving address format before withdrawing, since Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed.

What is ADI (ADI)?

ADI Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 created by the ADI Foundation in Abu Dhabi to serve governments, enterprises and financial institutions. Its mainnet and the ADI token were announced on 9 December 2025, after a testnet launched in August 2025.

How ADI works

The network is built on zkSync's ZK Stack and uses zero-knowledge proofs to settle to Ethereum, with support for application-specific Layer 3 chains for things like payments, registries and regulated stablecoins. ADI is the gas token for the L2 and its L3 domains and serves as the settlement asset between participants.

What ADI is used for

ADI pays transaction fees on ADI Chain and can be staked in a treasury-backed pool for rewards. It is also traded on exchanges such as Kraken, Crypto.com and KuCoin.

ADI supply

Maximum supply is 1 billion ADI, created at genesis and unlocked under a vesting schedule that runs until 2034; staking rewards do not come from new minting.

Before you swap ADI

The version listed here is the ERC-20 on Ethereum mainnet, so you need ETH for gas; using it on ADI Chain requires bridging. Do not confuse it with unrelated tokens using the ADI ticker.
