What is ADI (ADI)?
ADI Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 created by the ADI Foundation in Abu Dhabi to serve governments, enterprises and financial institutions. Its mainnet and the ADI token were announced on 9 December 2025, after a testnet launched in August 2025.

How ADI works
The network is built on zkSync's ZK Stack and uses zero-knowledge proofs to settle to Ethereum, with support for application-specific Layer 3 chains for things like payments, registries and regulated stablecoins. ADI is the gas token for the L2 and its L3 domains and serves as the settlement asset between participants.
What ADI is used for
ADI pays transaction fees on ADI Chain and can be staked in a treasury-backed pool for rewards. It is also traded on exchanges such as Kraken, Crypto.com and KuCoin.
ADI supply
Maximum supply is 1 billion ADI, created at genesis and unlocked under a vesting schedule that runs until 2034; staking rewards do not come from new minting.
