How to convert Bitcoin to HAPI Protocol

Converting BTC to HAPI on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit BTC from Bitcoin
Go to the Deposit tab and select Bitcoin (BTC) on Bitcoin. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your BTC there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on Bitcoin, your BTC balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap BTC to HAPI on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick BTC as the source and HAPI as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw HAPI to Ethereum
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select HAPI Protocol (HAPI) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Ethereum as the destination. Enter an address from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the BTCHAPI swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your BTC leaves Bitcoin and HAPI arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is HAPI on Ethereum, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Both BTC and HAPI float against the dollar, so the BTC/HAPI rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About Bitcoin and HAPI Protocol

What is Bitcoin (BTC)?

Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency, described in a 2008 white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and brought to life when its network went live in January 2009. BTC is the native unit of that network and moves directly between users without a bank or payment processor in the middle.

How Bitcoin works

Miners compete to add blocks by running SHA-256 hashing hardware in a Proof of Work process, and the chain with the most accumulated work is treated as valid. Every full node independently checks each transaction against the rules, so the ledger's history becomes harder to alter with every block stacked on top.

What BTC is used for

Most holders treat BTC as a long-term store of value and a hedge outside the traditional financial system. It is also used for cross-border transfers, as collateral in lending markets, and as a base trading pair across the crypto industry.

BTC supply

The protocol limits total issuance to 21 million BTC. New coins enter circulation only as block rewards, and that reward is cut in half roughly every four years in an event known as the halving.

Before you swap BTC

Bitcoin blocks arrive about every ten minutes on average, so a BTC deposit can take noticeably longer to confirm than deposits on faster chains. Double-check the receiving address format before withdrawing, since Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed.

What is HAPI Protocol (HAPI)?

HAPI Protocol is an on-chain cybersecurity project that emerged from the Hacken ecosystem and went public through an initial DEX offering in March 2021. It gives smart contracts, exchanges and wallets risk data on compromised addresses and stolen funds, with deployments on Ethereum, NEAR, Solana and BNB Chain.

How HAPI Protocol works

HAPI runs oracles and a set of cross-chain smart contracts that record addresses tied to hacks, scams and other illicit activity, together with risk scores. Integrators query this data to screen transfers in real time, and reporters are rewarded for submitting information that is confirmed as valid.

What HAPI is used for

Projects use HAPI to access its AML and threat data and to take part in the protocol's reporting and validation. Holders also trade and stake HAPI across the networks where it is deployed.

HAPI supply

The cap is 1 million HAPI, which is small compared with most tokens. About 460,000 of these were offered across the 2021 sale rounds.

Before you swap HAPI

HAPI is native to Ethereum, and the NEAR version is a Rainbow Bridge copy. Both are listed here, so choose the network carefully and keep ETH for gas on Ethereum. Because the supply is small, each token has a relatively high unit price.
