How to convert Bitcoin to Intellex

Converting BTC to ITLX on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit BTC from Bitcoin
Go to the Deposit tab and select Bitcoin (BTC) on Bitcoin. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your BTC there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on Bitcoin, your BTC balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap BTC to ITLX on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick BTC as the source and ITLX as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw ITLX to NEAR
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select Intellex (ITLX) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose NEAR as the destination. Enter an address from a NEAR wallet such as NEAR Mobile or Meteor and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the BTCITLX swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your BTC leaves Bitcoin and ITLX arrives on NEAR. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is ITLX on NEAR, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Both BTC and ITLX float against the dollar, so the BTC/ITLX rate moves with two markets at once. Traders use this pair to rotate between ecosystems in a single step instead of selling to a stablecoin first.

About Bitcoin and Intellex

What is Bitcoin (BTC)?

Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency, described in a 2008 white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and brought to life when its network went live in January 2009. BTC is the native unit of that network and moves directly between users without a bank or payment processor in the middle.

How Bitcoin works

Miners compete to add blocks by running SHA-256 hashing hardware in a Proof of Work process, and the chain with the most accumulated work is treated as valid. Every full node independently checks each transaction against the rules, so the ledger's history becomes harder to alter with every block stacked on top.

What BTC is used for

Most holders treat BTC as a long-term store of value and a hedge outside the traditional financial system. It is also used for cross-border transfers, as collateral in lending markets, and as a base trading pair across the crypto industry.

BTC supply

The protocol limits total issuance to 21 million BTC. New coins enter circulation only as block rewards, and that reward is cut in half roughly every four years in an event known as the halving.

Before you swap BTC

Bitcoin blocks arrive about every ten minutes on average, so a BTC deposit can take noticeably longer to confirm than deposits on faster chains. Double-check the receiving address format before withdrawing, since Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed.

What is Intellex (ITLX)?

Intellex is an AI infrastructure project on NEAR that works on memory for AI agents: how agents store knowledge, share it and pay for it across systems. Its ITLX token contract was deployed in 2025, and the team announced the token generation event in November 2025.

How Intellex works

The protocol breaks agent memory into five stages: create, license, use, update and revoke. Owners can license memory models without exposing the underlying data. Usage is metered, and each use pays small royalties in ITLX to the people who contributed the data.

What ITLX is used for

ITLX pays for licenses to access memory assets and settles royalties to data contributors. Holders can also lock it for voting power on protocol parameters and emissions.

ITLX supply

The NEAR contract has a maximum of 1 billion ITLX, and allocations vest according to Intellex's published tokenomics.

Before you swap ITLX

ITLX trades mainly on NEAR, including through NEAR Intents, and liquidity is thin, so a large order can move the price. Keep a little NEAR for later transfers.
