How to convert Bitcoin to World Liberty Financial USD

Converting BTC to USD1 on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit BTC from Bitcoin
Go to the Deposit tab and select Bitcoin (BTC) on Bitcoin. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your BTC there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on Bitcoin, your BTC balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap BTC to USD1 on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick BTC as the source and USD1 as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw USD1 to Ethereum
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select World Liberty Financial USD (USD1) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Ethereum as the destination. Enter an address from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the BTCUSD1 swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your BTC leaves Bitcoin and USD1 arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is USD1 on Ethereum, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Swapping BTC to USD1 converts a volatile asset into a dollar-pegged stablecoin — a common way to lock in a price or step out of market swings without off-ramping to a bank account.

About Bitcoin and World Liberty Financial USD

What is Bitcoin (BTC)?

Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency, described in a 2008 white paper by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and brought to life when its network went live in January 2009. BTC is the native unit of that network and moves directly between users without a bank or payment processor in the middle.

How Bitcoin works

Miners compete to add blocks by running SHA-256 hashing hardware in a Proof of Work process, and the chain with the most accumulated work is treated as valid. Every full node independently checks each transaction against the rules, so the ledger's history becomes harder to alter with every block stacked on top.

What BTC is used for

Most holders treat BTC as a long-term store of value and a hedge outside the traditional financial system. It is also used for cross-border transfers, as collateral in lending markets, and as a base trading pair across the crypto industry.

BTC supply

The protocol limits total issuance to 21 million BTC. New coins enter circulation only as block rewards, and that reward is cut in half roughly every four years in an event known as the halving.

Before you swap BTC

Bitcoin blocks arrive about every ten minutes on average, so a BTC deposit can take noticeably longer to confirm than deposits on faster chains. Double-check the receiving address format before withdrawing, since Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed.

How World Liberty Financial USD works

Each USD1 is backed by reserves of US dollars, short-dated US Treasury bills and government money market fund holdings, custodied by BitGo Trust Company. Eligible institutions mint and redeem at one dollar per token, and the issuer publishes monthly third-party attestations of the reserves.

What USD1 is used for

Traders use USD1 as a dollar base pair on exchanges and DEXs, and institutions have used it to settle large transactions. It is also integrated into DeFi lending and liquidity pools on several chains.

USD1 supply

Supply has no fixed ceiling and expands or contracts as tokens are minted and redeemed against reserves on a 1:1 basis.

Before you swap USD1

USD1 is available here on both Ethereum and Solana; pick the network you will use afterwards and keep ETH or SOL for gas. It targets the US dollar, so swaps from other dollar stablecoins should price close to parity.
