How to convert Shitzu to USD Coin

Converting SHITZU to USDC on NEAR Mobile Swap is done in three simple steps through the NEAR Intents protocol: Deposit, Swap, and Withdraw.

Step 1 — Deposit SHITZU from NEAR
Go to the Deposit tab and select Shitzu (SHITZU) on NEAR. The widget will generate a deposit address (or QR code) — send your SHITZU there from any wallet. Once the deposit is confirmed on NEAR, your SHITZU balance appears inside NEAR Intents.

Step 2 — Swap SHITZU to USDC on NEAR Intents
Switch to the Swap tab, pick SHITZU as the source and USDC as the target. Enter the amount and confirm — solvers compete to fill your order and the swap settles in seconds.

Step 3 — Withdraw USDC to Ethereum
Finally, go to the Withdraw tab. Select USD Coin (USDC) from your NEAR Intents balance and choose Ethereum as the destination. Enter an address from any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby and confirm.

⚠ Important: When entering a withdrawal address, make sure it is a personal wallet you control. Some centralized exchanges do not support receiving funds from smart-contract-based deposits — sending to an exchange address may result in lost funds.

About the SHITZUUSDC swap

This is a cross-chain swap: your SHITZU leaves NEAR and USDC arrives on Ethereum. Normally that takes a bridge plus a DEX, or a centralized exchange account. With NEAR Intents the deposit, swap and withdrawal happen in one flow, and what lands in your wallet is USDC on Ethereum, not a wrapped copy you have to bridge again.

Swapping SHITZU to USDC converts a volatile asset into a dollar-pegged stablecoin — a common way to lock in a price or step out of market swings without off-ramping to a bank account.

About Shitzu and USD Coin

What is Shitzu (SHITZU)?

SHITZU started on April Fools' Day 2022 as a meme token on Aurora, the EVM chain built on NEAR, and minting stayed open for only 24 hours. The community later moved it to NEAR mainnet, where the token contract token.0xshitzu.near was deployed in early 2024.

How Shitzu works

The token has no protocol behind it. The community runs projects around it through the ShitzuApes app, including the shitzu.pool.near validator, which pays stakers an extra token called DOGSHIT on top of normal NEAR staking rewards. It is also found on Solana and Base.

What SHITZU is used for

Holders mostly trade it as a NEAR community meme and take part in the ShitzuApes staking and social activities. The group also helped promote NEAR meme launches such as meme.cooking.

SHITZU supply

Supply is fixed at about 306.2 million SHITZU. The figure was set when the Aurora tokens moved to NEAR and is lower than the 576 million minted in the original 2022 event.

Before you swap SHITZU

The default network here is NEAR, so keep some NEAR for later transfers. Pools are small and prices can swing sharply, so review the quote before confirming.

What is USD Coin (USDC)?

USDC is a US dollar stablecoin issued by Circle, first launched in September 2018 through the Centre consortium that Circle founded with Coinbase. Circle now manages the token directly, and USDC is issued natively on a range of blockchains, with Ethereum among the largest.

How USD Coin works

Each USDC is meant to be redeemable for one dollar, and Circle mints or burns tokens as institutional customers deposit or withdraw funds. Reserves are held in cash and short-dated US government obligations, largely through a dedicated fund, and Circle publishes regular reports on their composition.

What USDC is used for

USDC is widely used for settlement and payments, both in crypto markets and in business transfers that benefit from moving dollars at any hour. In decentralized finance it serves as a common unit for lending, liquidity pools and trading.

USDC supply

Supply is elastic: USDC is created when dollars are deposited and destroyed when it is redeemed. Circle aims to keep reserves equal to or greater than the amount of USDC in circulation.

Before you swap USDC

The widget defaults to USDC on Ethereum, but the same token also lives on Solana, NEAR, Base and other chains, so select the network your wallet actually uses. Beware of bridged versions with similar names, which are not the same as natively issued USDC.
